guilty pleasures.

The perfect sunday afternoon - full of guilty pleasures! My local tea shop 'The Mock Turtle' sells the most amazing treats.. I went in with good intentions and had pouched egg on toast but then could not resist one of the bursting doughnuts as a desert!

tuesday treasures.

Rockett St George is a regular online visit for me and they have just got some new stock in. Check out this bookshelf wallpaper in white - perfect for keeping a clean feel to a room whilst adding a bit of extra detail or I think it would work well as a backdrop to a variety of colourful eams chairs.

Me and the girls often have craft days, which are usually accompanied with lots of tea and cake!... here are some pics of my most recent craft project. If you would like to purchase a pair I have created an etsy shop.

sneak peak - secret garden

Here is a little peak at some of the images from the secret garden photo shoot I styled a couple of weeks ago. I worked with a great team of people to create these beautiful images, which were taken by the very talented Fiona Kelly. More pics to come soon.

ways to wallpaper.

It's great to experiment with wallpaper. You don't need to wallpaper a whole room, instead you can use accents of it around the room - whether that be above a picture rail, in the back of a cupboard or just a strip behind the headboard. Also by using the wallpaper in smaller sections it can allow you to choose a really dramatic pattern that you might not have necessarily picked if you were doing the whole room.

royal wedding.

Did you watch the royal wedding?!? I spent the day wondering around Brighton visiting various street parties - it was so much fun... everyone had brought food out onto picnic tables on the street. Women had pulled out their wedding dresses that had been hidden away for years and were parading round the streets dancing to all the live music, little children were creating artwork on the roads with colourful chalk and everyone was relaxing enjoying the festivities!

another photography swoon.

I have just finished a two week shoot with photographer Simon Bevan. It was lovely to work with him as not only is he a very talented photographer but his dancing skills and occasional singing kept everyone on the shoot entertained! Definitely a hidden talent there!

I have posted a couple of my favorite pics but there are so many to swoon over I suggest you grab a cup of tea and go have a gander at his work here.

chocolate heaven.

I am a self confessed chocaholic! I never go a day without eating chocolate and Easter is the perfect time to not feel guilty for eating a mountain of Easter Eggs.

I may even put my hand to a bit of easter cooking and make some good old chocolate nests with the help of Gin and Crumpets recipe.

Chocolate Easter Nests
makes 12.

200g milk chocolate
5 shredded wheat
36 Mini Eggs

1. Bake the chocolate into chunks and place into a heatproof bowl. Then place the bowl over a pan of boiling water and heat, stirring until the chocolate is smooth and melted.

2. Crumble the Shredded Wheat, making sure there's no big lumps. Mix in with the melted chocolate and then spoon into the cake cases. Using a teaspoon pat the nests down and make a dip for the mini eggs to sit in.

3. Finally place 3 mini eggs in each nest and leave in the fridge for about an hour to set. Then they are ready to serve! yummy!
