a room for a little one.

A friend of mine has asked for some help in decorating their kids bedroom. I think the key to a well decorated childs bedroom is making sure it is bright and cheery with an element of surprise. This half moon wallpaper would work well as a backdrop to then layer on some colourful accessories. Painted furniture and colourful pictures would sit nicely in front of this monochrome paper. Here are a few other pictures for inspiration.

a compete renovation.

A Brighton home that I styled at the beginning of the year has just been featured in House Beautiful. Saskia and George did an amazing job transforming this home into a quirky and light living space. George is a carpenter by trade and made all the furniture himself - you can contact him directly on his website. My favourite is the bannister made from pitch forks!

house story.

A home that I styled for Ideal Home has recently been featured on the house to home website as the Editors choice of home stories. I worked with the wonderful photographer Heather Hobhouse to shoot this Edwardian terraced house, which was beautifully decorated with soft colours and furniture creating a light and airy home. It was a fun day and Oliver even let me have some of his sweets!

creative home.

Whilst I was in Kula Lumpa I had the great pleasure of meeting both Iko and Ianie from Creative Home magazine. We went out for a scrumptious traditional meal followed by a guided tour of Malaysia's first Interior Design shopping mall and visited Creative Home's showroom, which is decorated in their striking pink corporate colour. Creative Home magazine is a must buy and you can also download the apps to view the digital version of the magazine - handy for getting some inspiration on your train ride to work!

breakfast in bed.

Seeing as it is all about 'love' this month - I thought it was a great opportunity to day-dream my ideal valentines breakfast in bed!

I would be gently woken by the placing of a tray on the bed, which would be bursting with both edible and decorative goodies. Egg and soldiers, cooked perfectly (runny egg and hot toast with melted butter) would have to be my chosen breakfast and what better way to present it than in the beautifully bold love bird egg cup and saucer from PiP studio. A strawberrry smoothy would be the perfect morning refreshment, both delicious and healthy, and these heart straws make it all that more fun! No breakfast tray is complete without a bit of romantic charm, and some flowers and a personalised note does just that. If all that was not enough the heart balloon from rockett st george tied on with some 'i love you' ribbon is sure to put a smile on my face!

And who says I ask for much! hehe...

Here is a little illustration to show you what I had in mind.... and below I have detailed where everything can be sourced.

25 beautiful homes.

A home I styled was featured in the August issue of 25 Beautiful Homes over a four page spread. It was a super busy day ensuring that we photographed every room of the stunning four bed Victorian home in Hove. Kiya, the homeowner, was very welcoming on the day and was excited to share the information of how she developed her home and where she sourced all the beautiful furniture. My favorite aspect of the home was the floor in the lounge / kitchen which were old scaffolding poles that Kiya had personally scrubbed and limed.

behind the scenes.

Last week I went back to the beautiful location house in Henley to work on the Homesense Autumn / Winter collection with the fabulous Abigail Edwards. It was my first Christmas shoot of the year and by the end of the week I was covered in glitter and had eaten my body weight in chocolate. So all in all... a good week!
Abi & I balancing a stack of pillows.
This was one of my favorite shots - I just wanted to sit down and start typing.
All hands on deck for the chocolate shot!
My shoes featured in a shot.

It all got a bit too much for some.
