down under.
My time in Australia has nearly come to an end. I have traveled from Perth all the way up the West coast, across the North of the country and back down the East coast ending in Sydney. It was a lot of driving with many beautiful sights and a lot of kangaroos. I was even lucky enough to see 3 koalas in the wild! Here are a few shots I took along the way.

a home for books.
One of my dreams is to have a bookshelf so large that I need a ladder! I have so many books and magazines scattered around my home that it would make things a lot simpler if I had one huge bookshelf covering an entire wall - not only will it mean I can organise my books but it also adds a great focus point to a room. There are so many options when creating bookcases whether it be an entire wall, spread over two floors, framing a window, around a door frame or even as a door.

real living.

I have not even finished reading this months issue of Real Living but already I feel the need to share some of the gorgeous pictures from these Australian homes. The bold bursts of colour realy add to the summer feel of these homes - if only we could have the same outdoor spaces in the UK without fearing our cushions would get soaked by rain!

when in perth.
Got a few days in Perth? Here are some of the recent experiences I have just had and certainly recommend them to anyone planning a visit.

Take a guided tour through the stunning gardens of Kings Park and finish it off with a picnic overlooking the skyline of Perth city.

Finishing it all off with some fish and chips on the beach watching the sunset!

textile creations.

I have just been in Java, Indonesia, where bird catching is a very popular pastime and each house is decorated with birdcages displaying a variety of birds signing their heart out. Abigail Browns birds are a beautiful alternative and are suitable for indoor decoration. There are many species to choose from - above are a few of my favourites.

little people.

I have recently discovered the wonderful street artwork by Slinkachu. Most of his work is photographs however he has now done some installations in London and he will leave the 'little people' to the fait of the general public. Visit his website to see more images.

creative home.
Whilst I was in Kula Lumpa I had the great pleasure of meeting both Iko and Ianie from Creative Home magazine. We went out for a scrumptious traditional meal followed by a guided tour of Malaysia's first Interior Design shopping mall and visited Creative Home's showroom, which is decorated in their striking pink corporate colour. Creative Home magazine is a must buy and you can also download the apps to view the digital version of the magazine - handy for getting some inspiration on your train ride to work!
Check out their website.
