Cocktails and dancing shoes were in abundance at the Savoy hotel for their Fairmount Cocktail evening. I absolutely loved styling this 1920's event with all it's glamour... ostrich feathers, velvet curtains, oversized floral displays and chandeliers dripping with jewels. Here are a few pictures I took whilst we were still setting up before all the lights were dimmed and candles lit.

splish splash.
At the end of last year I was working on a photoshoot for Victoria and Albert baths. It was great fun designing these rooms from scratch and getting to use some gorgeous tiles from Fired Earth. I especially love the glass mosaic tiles - you can check them out here.

Getting down low.
I have recently worked on a flooring shoot for UK Flooring Direct which was great fun although I discovered I need to invest in some knee pads as there was a lot of low level styling! Here are a few of the images that we created... as well as a behind the scenes snap of me standing in a bin lid wetting my feet ready to jump out and create some water splashed on the vinyl flooring to show it is waterproof... such a glamorous life being a stylist! hehe.

more craftiness.
I've once again been working with the lovely team over at Fabulous magazine - but this time on a craft feature. I made 7 hacks and you can find the step by step guides on how to make each of them in the magazine which is out today - so grab yourself a copy!
Here are some pictures of the finished hacks - a copper magazine rack, painted brick planters, concrete side tables or stools, wooden clock

getting cosy.
The new year has brought some new clients and I have recently styled a shoot for sofa.com which I am excited to see that two of the images are up of their website. The shoot took place at gorgeous location house just outside of London and to top it off they had an adorable puppy called Hector - although he was a Great Dane so he was taller than me!

lighting for the studio.
We are moving house... hopefully quite soon... all in limbo land at the moment... but I can't help getting excited about the potential house and having a studio space all to myself! One of the things that I have neglected in my current working space is good lighting - I just stumble on through the evening with just the light from my laptop. Things need to change so I am on the hunt for a nice desk lamp... I've been looking into it and found these lovely desk lights or hanging lights that I could create a hook and have a pendant at the side of my desk... decisions decisions!

craft corner.
Lately I have been doing a lot of craft shoots. I love making all the different items - although not so sure Garth is too happy when he comes home to find me mixing concrete in the living room, or spraying furniture in the hallway... oh well! hehe. I've now done quite a few craft videos for house to home - they are great fun to make and I am sure this time next year I will be a millionaire if I sent all the outtakes off to You've Been Framed! Here are a couple that I have done but you can find more on the housetohome website.

tuesday treasures
I have just discovered Tiffany Mitchell, an illustrator based in Lexington, Kentucky. These illustrations are gorgeous - what a talented lady! I want all three to display on my wall. You can purchase them from http://shopruche.com - these are definitely going on my wish list.
